Just a peak at one of the Display Gardens at Silver Star Vinery

Silver Star Vinery is an amazing mail-order clematis nursery right here in Washington State. Because this nursery is mail order only, opportunities to visit the huge and beautiful display gardens loaded down with healthy and gorgeous clematis are rare. But this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, from 10am – 4pm, the gardens are open to the public!

Owner, Debbie Fisher, was a fellow attendee with me at the 2013 Conference of the International Clematis Society in Germany a few weeks ago. She connected with at least three important European clematis breeders — and I think she’ll have new shipments of unusual clematis come fall. So come to the open garden and meet her!

If you love clematis and are anywhere in driving distance to the foothills of the Cascades, just each of Battleground, WA (near Vancouver, WA), Silver Star Vinery is the place to be! I’ll certainly be there on Saturday.
