Clematis on the Web — a fabulous website from the Universty of Hull in the UK, with an A-Z of clematis full of information and photos about thousands of them.  Find a photo, pruning info, sun/shade needs, height, and much more for almost any names clematis.  Use it on your smart phone to check out a clematis while at a nursery!

Rogerson Clematis Collection — growing out of the collection of  iconic clematarian Brewster Rogerson, the Rogerson Clematis Collection aims to preserve historic clematis and well as promote new hybrids.  Its mission is to “promote and advance the joy of growing the genus clematis through education and preservation of the Rogerson Clematis Collection.”  Currently containing approximatley 500 taxa and nearly 900 plants, the collection is one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere and contains many clematis that are not available in the trade.  Located at Luscher Farm in West Linn, Oregon (just south of Portland), the Rogerson Clematis Collection has a greenhouse and plants the gardens around the historic farmhouse to demonstrate how to use clematis in garden settings.  Admittance is free of charge.  Annually on the Saturday of Memoorial Day Weekend, the Rogerson Clematis Collection organizes a Clematis Garden Tour fundraiser–all proceeds benefit the collection.   

International Clematis Society — promotes clematis throughout the world through its international membership, its annual journal Clematis International, and its annual international clematis conferences held around the world.  Their website contains much interesting and useful information about clematis.

British Clematis Society — promotes the cultivation and preservation of clematis, while encouraging all gardeners to grow and enjoy them.  Site contains loads of useful information about the cultivation and pruning of clematis as well as a list of easy clematis to grow and instructions for growing clematis in containers.  The Society also publishes an annual journal Clematis.
